Medical Treatment & Bills

Workers’ compensation pays for all necessary and reasonable medical treatment for conditions related to your work-related injury or disease such as emergency room visits, doctors’ visits, surgery, physical therapy, prescriptions, medical equipment, and other treatment if necessary.

However, your employer or its insurance carrier has the right to select your treating doctor. But if you treat with another doctor without the workers’ compensation carrier’s permission, your medical bills may not be covered.
